AT THE SCHOOL OF ART AND MUSIC
November 16 we went to Latvia, Priekulė art and music school, with which we have been cooperating for over 10 years. The festive concert was dedicated to the 105th anniversary of Latvia's independence. This time, we gave our friends a dance, a musical piece and an exhibition, which will be open until December 15 in the exhibition hall of the Priekulė School of Art and Music. Classical guitar evening
On October 25, guitarist Lukas Isaak visited the Skuodas Art School. The musician with Lithuanian roots was born and raised in Germany, and is currently studying at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater. In 2023, he was nominated as the best classical guitar performer at the Fingerstyle festival in Warsaw. This year, Lukas Isaak performs on the stages of various Lithuanian cities, giving the soul of every listener a cozy touch to delicately interpreted classical and contemporary music, inviting them to immerse themselves in the waves of sensitive sound that can be reached by live emotion.

On August 29, the Skuodas Art School hosted a practical conference of educational institutions of the Skuodas district municipality "The path to success for everyone". Honorable guests were invited to it - Irena Raudienė, Head of the Department of Educational Programs of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, Aidas Aldakauskas, Director of the Quality Assessment Department of the National Education Agency (NŠA). Heads of district educational institutions, teachers' representatives, members of the Education, Culture and Sports Committee of the Municipal Council, school partners also participated in the conference.
Children and Music Festival
April 21 In Taurage, the traditional XXXI festival of music and art schools of the Žemaitija region and the drawing competition "Children and Music" resounded with excitement. The tour of this huge festival throughout Žemaitija has been organized since 1991. This time, the event brought together a large number of young talents, musicians and artists from the entire Žemaitia region: Palanga, Tauragė, Gargžda, Skuoda, Plungė, Kretinga, Mažeikiai, Šilutė, Šilalė, Telšiai, Salantai, Rietava, Plateliai, Neringa, Pagėgiai, Jurbarka. The Skuados art school was well represented by the ensemble of saxophonists, led by teacher Kamilijaus Venckaus. For children, it is not only an educational trip full of excitement, but also a scenic experience.

April 20 our school had a cheerful, colorful celebration "Dance fiesta" dedicated to International Dance Day, which is celebrated on April 29. and to commemorate the 770th anniversary of Skuodas.
We welcomed and hospitably received as many as 160 dancers who delighted the audience with their excellent dances.

XV national competition of Jonas Švedas
March 18-19 Performers of folk instruments from Skuodas Art School and Mosėdis Department took part in the XV National Jonas Švedas Competition held in Vilnius: Tautvydas Jonaitis (lamzdelis), Gustas Zabitis (lamzdelis) and Aurimas Valčiukas (birbynė). They were prepared for the competition by teacher Tadas Jonaitis and concertmaster Kazimiera Andriuškienė.

III national art and music festival - competition "FREEDOM IS THE BEGINNING OF CREATION"
March 11 The competition organized by the Širvintais Art School was successful for the students of the Ylakii department of the Skuodas Art School. This competition promotes the popularization of Lithuanian music and brings together artists and musicians. Musicians play works by Lithuanian authors, and artists convey the imagined mood of the work in their drawings.
Pianist Kajus Malakauskas and artist Gerda Malūkaitė won 2nd place in the competition, pianist Emilė Šliačkutė and artist Nojus Lisenko won 3rd place. The children were prepared for the competition by senior piano teacher Estreja Eglė Odinienė and senior art teacher Sonata Daukšienė.

March 11 holiday
On March 9, there were songs, music and dances in the hall of Skuodas Art School. We dedicated our concert to celebrate the day of the restoration of Lithuania's independence. We were happy with our friends from Latvia, who also brought a beautiful musical gift.

Concert of pianist GIEDRĖS ŽALYTĖS-LUTZ
October 6 A pianist from Skuodas (now living in Germany), Giedrė Žalytė-Lutz, visited the Skuodas Art School. She gave a very sincere and warm concert to the gathered audience. Romantic music from various well-known movies was played, and the concert ended on a high note with the famous Italian composer Giacomo Puccini's aria "Nessun Dorma" from the opera "Turandot".

Presentation of the book "My Little World".
May 23 The presentation of the children's book "My little world" by the poet Kristina Petkutė-Gregor was held at Skuados Art School. This is the first book published by the author. The drawings for the illustrations of the book were created by the young artists of the Skuodas Art School: Tomas Šakalys, Rugilė Gedgaudaitė, Justė Skurdauskaitė, Amanda Žitkutė, Ugnė Kontvainytė, Austėja Diringytė, Augustė Balytė, Emilija Zubaitė, Viktorija Budrikytė, Aukė Mončiūtė, Gustė Levinskaitė, Eva Norkutė, Simona Ronkytė, under the guidance of teacher Jolantas Milerienė. The artistic editor of Knygutė is teacher Sonata Daukšienė. Pianist Ernesta Repšaitė (teacher S. Mineikis), violinist Ugnė Kontvainytė (teacher L. Gūžienė) and accordionist Tomas Valantinas (teacher D. Andriekuvienė) presented their pieces at the event.
Competition "Hear the most secret language of nature"
May 20 the results of the International children's drawing competition "Hear the most secret language of nature" have been announced. As many as 1446 creative works from 7 countries participated in it: China, Poland, Lithuania, India, Estonia, Slovenia and Ukraine. Among the many drawings, the work of EVELINA KLEPONYTĖ (teacher Sonata Daukšienė), a student of the Ylakii section of Skuados Art School, did not go unnoticed. The young artist became a laureate in her age group (7-10 years). The creative works of the competition winners will be exhibited in the green gallery of the Panevėžys Nature School.

in 2022 on May 7, the X international competition of young performers on national instruments "Muzikos burtai 2022" took place, in which 65 participants from Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine took part. The competition was conducted live and remotely.

April the fifteenth republican competition organized by the Kretinga District Salantai School of Art took place in the virtual space. April 9 The 10th republican festival-competition of young performers and artists "I call, I imagine, I paint" was held in Vilnius. The participants of this project had to draw a picture corresponding to the image of the musical piece being performed, describe it in the chosen literary form and perform the piece.

April 8 Kretinga Art School held the 6th republican competition for wind instruments "Lituvian Plays". Majus Poškys, a student of Skuodas Art School, participated in it. In the competition, he performed two pieces on the saxophone: "Waltz", authored by Maja's teacher Kamilijus Venckus and Dirko Juchem, "Aura Lee" by Harald Rutar. Concertmaster Sigitas Mineikis.
According to the evaluation of the competent commission, Majus won the 3rd place in category A.

in 2022 April 6 The violinists of the Skuados School of Art went to the 2nd National Ensemble Music Competition "Primo Violino", dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the restored Plungė Children's Music School.
31 collectives from various Lithuanian cities competed in the competition: Telšiai, Rietava, Skuoda, Akmenė, Klaipėda, Šilutė and Tukumas (Latvia). Students were divided into A, B, C groups according to their classes. The main requirement in the competition is that a teacher cannot participate in the ensemble.
Vilijas Jakutiene's young violinists competed in group A: Goda Budrikytė, Viltė Kontrimaitė, Mėja Šakalytė, Gintarė Giedraitė, Ugnė Jonušaitė. They were accompanied on the piano by Brigita Stonkutė (teacher Sigitas Mineikis) and Jokūbas Budrikis energetically played the beat through a wooden "grater". The ensemble performed R. Telepniov's "Slow Polka" and earned the title of laureate.
In group B, Ugnė Kontvainytė played the violin (teacher Lina Gūžienė) and she was accompanied by pianist Ernesta Repšaitė (teacher Sigitas Mineikis). The girls performed "Main street shuffle" by Martha Mier. The ensemble earned the title of Diplomat.

March 28 The 1st republican virtual competition of young pianists and string players "ZAVINGOJI PJESĖ" was held at the Kaišiadori Art School. 337 participants from all over Lithuania took part in the competition: Vilnius, Kaunas, Jonava, Zarasi, Utena, Skuoda, Plungė, Kelma, Radviliškis and other districts, they were prepared by 174 teachers of music and art schools in the country.
The students of Skuados Art School performed well in the competition and became the winners:
